Every AMERICAN Citizen should be required to serve two years in Government service. Of course with this administration that would be a mistake, but in the real world Citizenship and Patriotism could be taught.

I never had a problem with Heinlein's Starship Troopers society that required either military or public service to gain the right to vote. A society where no one has "skin in the game" is destined to fail.

We're seeing the consequences of a freeloader society now. It's all about privileges, and nothing about responsibility.

Send the (illegal) immigrants in first, That's what the US Yankees did in the 1860's to have enough manpower to fight the Confederacy. Ellis Island: "Welcome to the US...Army." Then go for the woke college kids. You'll get the same quality troops as the old "McNamara's Morons".

I would beg to differ. The welfare thing is psy op. What is really happening is, the state takes your money, gives like 10% to the welfare recipients and keeps the rest for itself. You see, it is a grift. It is the same grift as with the other stuff, such as defense and roads.

One more thing, there wouldn't be so many people in need of welfare if there was no state to rob them into poverty.

Hell, if poopypants gets four more years we'll have a draft here in the US. And, that WILL be because of war. The funny thing is the rules to this program forming in Germany. They're offering a year of non-paid service....vs. going to war? Give me the service. But, this is a rope-a-dope. I guarantee you that they'll turn that one year of non-paid service into two or three as the out. They'll just adjust as they see fit and people will grumble and not do a damn thing to stop it.
