Looking at the same maps it is not possible for SS not to have known he was there/ or something even more ? Atlas is definitely shrugging...

Going after organized crime and talking openly about a force in the nation wanting to "enslave" us?....Ended up with his brains all over the trunk of the Cadillac. I thought much the same thing, but if this were a sniper, he wasn't a very good sniper.

Everything I've heard indicates that the shooter was on the roof of a building with a line of sight to the podium. Maybe I'm being naive, but isn't it the job of the Secret Service to secure any possible sniper position?

Is it possible that someone in the Secret Service was part of a conspiracy to have Trump assassinated, and his job was to make sure that possible sniper's nest wasn't secured?

I can certainly believe it. There have been assassination attempts in prior generations, and the division in this country right now is the highest since John Wilkes Booth.

I agree. With the total venom and maliciousness that Dems have portrayed Trump, I guess I'm surprised this hasn't happened earlier.

Do you know if the person was someone in the crowd, or was it the shooter? I've heard a couple comments on TV that some people heard two "sets" of shots, and there was speculation that the second set was the Secret Service taking down the gunman.

There was one person killed. Trump is taking a gunshot to save an America worth saving. We're in a pretty late chapter in Atlas Shrugged now.
