The Left is doing what they’re accusing non-leftists of doing.

Excerpt:
"In brief, hypocrisy reflects on one's own behavior while projection concerns oneself and one's behavior towards others.

It would be hypocritical for person (A) who frequently rolls past stop signs to say that person (B) should always observe stop signs. It would be projection for person (A) to silently assume person (B) rolls past stop signs. It would be both hypocritical and projection for person (A) to falsely accuse person (B) of rolling past stop signs.

In today’s heated socio-political climate I contend that we’re seeing both hypocrisy and projection being utilized on a daily basis. How many times have we heard a Leftist claim that Donald Trump is "a threat to our democracy"?

The better question to ask is, “Who on the Left has not made that claim?”"

Good article. The whole thing may be as simple as an underlying evil Marxist ideology desiring to bring to an end of what is the USA and replace it with it's idea of utopia in spite of its proven failures in the past 100+ years. An evil ideology like Marxism, IMHO, is a natural magnet for people suffering from the psychological conditions and deficiencies described in the article as well as many other criminal types and opportunists meaning the left has an over representation of such individuals (Side note: Marx and Engels were two such screwed up individuals who basically kicked this whole thing off). "They" have bubbled to the top of the leftist hierarchy and have taken over the Democrat party and we are witnessing the results. The scary thing here is how they have managed to set the agenda for so much that is America today. The lie, of course, is one of their chief means to their desired end. More scary is they seem to have developed the means and methods to propagate themselves into the populace at large. They have an army of useful psychologically broken idiots and it needs a kick in the ass to wake it up.

Projection is a psychological defense mechanism where someone transfers negative feelings, emotions, or habits onto another person or object. It can be a sign of a personality disorder or trauma, and is commonly found in people with narcissistic, borderline, or paranoid personalities.
Here are some signs that someone might be projecting:
Blaming others: They may blame others for things that have gone wrong, rather than taking responsibility.
Being quick to point out flaws: They may be quick to point out other people's flaws and shortcomings.
Making accusations: They may make accusations about others.
Being defensive: They may be defensive.
