Armored vehicle helps collect civil judgment in small town

Disagree with town government, they send a tank after you. It's so great to live in a 'free' country.

Someone in another post today commented that they had 'faith' in their police force. Here's your faith.

"When officials in the tiny Town of Stettin in Marathon County went to collect a civil judgment from 75-year-old Roger Hoeppner this month, they sent 24 armed officers.

And an armored military vehicle."

    My Grandpa who was fluent in 4 languages, was amused by the syntax of a true event that his father told him about the 80 year old Jew who refused to move out of his apartment that was being confiscated in WW1 Lublin, Poland. His wife who had put up with his stubbornness for over 50 years, slapped his face and said, "Yakoff, up the street the soldiers, they are coming down." To illustrate totalitarianism, our family as often used and re-used that phrase. And so, in the small town of Stettin, I can only say, Watch out! Up the street, the soldiers they are coming down.

    But, but, but, comrade citizens, Town of Stettin's little Roger "dodger" Hoeppner, just a wee commoner subject, failed to take a knee before his more than equal elite betters. An example had to be made for the greater good of the collective.

    This case is the best argument why citizens should have machine guns and cannons. I betcha those brainless deputies would have quickly acquired some brains and remembered their oath to uphold the Constitution instead of following orders of the government mafia.

    That must be one of those light-armored vehicles the Pentagon has been parceling out to police departments and sheriff's offices everywhere.

    From whom? That would mean the US military is spending it's time and resources capturing its own vehicles from itself...

    OTOH, those vehicles could be captured.
    Been "raising the concern" since 1990 (and louder since April 1993.)

    The problem is that he isn't doing anything wrong.
    The zoning board created the "crime" ( the fraudulent non-aggressive crime of clutter accumulation) so that they could justify using force.
    We are in trouble in this nation when such capricious governing leads to the decimation of an individual's life...and it is unfortunately becoming increasingly common.

    The job of government is protecting individuals against force and fraud.
    When government is the source of force and fraud ...particularly in violation of individual property rights, then the government has become the primary criminal element in our lives.

    The point is they own him, his property, and his land, and they needed the hardware to instill the fear of the great city government into him so he would quake in his boots and pay all they demanded of their serfs. And the object lesson was not lost on the neighbors as well - they will ALL pay now, because they know the city is all powerful and will send the tanks to THEIR front yard next.

    I'm less pissed about the MRAP than I am about the asinine actions of the city in claiming that this guy has to abide by their BS rules on his own private property

    It's been too late for a long, long time. When DHS sold the first milspec combat equipment to the police force, and no one said anything, it was done. Whatcha wanna do now? Turn the clock back, pretend it's still Mayberry in your mind instead of the Pyongyang they are pushing hard to complete?

    The time to raise the concern and shut the crap down was in 2002, when everyone was flying US flags on their car antennas, spouting about "freedom fries" and caving to the whole manufactured fear designed to remove your liberties. 12 years later? It's way too late to close that barn door.

    Thinking otherwise... means you're still under control of the "red pill" they keep stuffing in your mouth.

    In transit across Wisconsin, I've passed this property at least 100 times. It is not visible from Highway 29. There are no residents across the street to"view" the clutter. Reference any satellite view of Packer Drive. I'm wondering what the "municipality" is doing regarding the two adjacent properties to the west of Hoeppner's. This has all the earmarks of a tin-pot-buerocrat vendetta.

    You no longer own property, you are just paying the taxes as rent. This infuriates me... Who has that much money sitting around. They stole his retirement fund and think it's just fine to do so. This is what our government has become..and it is only going to get worse.. :-(

    This wasn't about a danger to the community.
    It's about aesthetics.
    His property use wasn't pretty enough for someone and they wanted him to be punished for his supposed lack of good taste.
    How DARE he stack up pallets on his property within sight of my easily offended eyes!
    That is a great reason to attack him with a tank.
    The weapons of mass destruction have been found at last. They are in police departments across AmeriKa to enforce unjustified theft of private property through unconstitutional forfeiture.
    This is what will cause people to finally awaken, but will it be soon enough?

    When the banksters came for the communists,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a communist.

    When they locked up the social democrats,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a social democrat.

    When they came for the trade unionists,
    I did not speak out;
    I was not a trade unionist.

    When they came for the Jews,
    I remained silent;
    I wasn't a Jew.

    When they came for me,
    there was no one left to speak out.

    "People may not always understand why, but an armored vehicle is almost a necessity now," Bean said.

    that is because they are thieves. $500 a day penalties. This man had to pay $80k to the city. King John shaking down the peasants

    Ahh, but they say they insured 'peace' by using their MRAP and gun turret pointed at the old man's house. All over a zoning disagreement.

    What property rights?

    Another case of government gone wild. What ever happened to peace officers? I like them a whole lot better when they are you friends instead of trying to catch you doing something wrong.
