... :)... reminds me of a crazy consumer 'product' a girlfriend and I once dreamed up... and then it occurred to me that we should create TWO companies, one with a cheaper version 'to compete with the other premium brand...' Any third 'competitor' might be scared off when they saw other competition already in the marketplace.
Evil, eh?
Never did it, though, but it was a fun idea at the time.
Share with your buddy? Tell ya what... "Hey, I'll tell you what, "buddy", I'll buy your crappy setup - table and all - no, you can keep your overpriced watered-down swill - for a buck, then remod the joint, move it 3 blocks over, and hire someone who's not a lazy non-productive slob to work the stand. :-)
Oh yeah - Don't set up in one of my neighborhoods again. Wait... no... in fact, please *do* set up in my neighborhoods.
All the more reason to teach our kids, starting from day one, that these ideas of 'helping' the lazy slobs who won't lift a finger and do a good job for their own benefit is a path down a road to your own enslavement.
With that kind of Parent (obviously a low information voter) his kid has little chance of success. But just may become the youngest member of Galt's Gulch!
Comrade citizens, I am so socialist disgusted. It always is the capitalist same! The suit gets all the loot! Did you see how that selfish brat future bankster did not want to listen to his more than equal elite better? Young man, you march across that street right now and spread the wealth around! Or wear a sign there that states "I do not share."
(Psst, I just gave everyone here a thumbs up point.. That video was just great and I liked how everyone responded. Of course, my being a pea-brained dino has its drawbacks).
There should always be a price to pay for laziness and incompetency. Since the government rewards the lazy and incompetent our nation will eventually collapse.
That is amusing to watch, but when you really see it for what it is showing you at the same time it is just so true in a way that I personally hope will help people see that things need to change. We should not have to share what we earn from our hard work with those who do nothing, as is explained in Atlas Shrugged, John Galt was to person to begin a revolution, my only question is when will the revolution start in the USA because it is getting ridiculous out here.
I thought it was on purpose that the dad did not see the contradiction. It made the whole video for me. The dad was the government taking from the producer and giving to the moocher.
If life hands you lemons, run to the government and get a subsidy, paid for by the sucker who took his lemons, made lemonade, and sold it at a profit. It worked for the banks during the last financial crisis.
Morris Massey explains the impressionability and conflicts that arise very well. "What You Are Is Where You Were When"...I just converted the 1976 lecture to DVD. I'm looking to find a way to purchase and license it for Gulch users.
Nice! I was afraid that the car was going to hold either the Mob or the Government. Maybe this could be a series, and the son converts the father......
In a world of bytes, this type of video might connect with sensible people who are not the bookworm sort. I have sent it on to one of same - it will be interesting to see her reaction.
I thought about that too. But I wonder if that is on purpose - that is telling. The father doesn't think about those ideas applying to kids, but perhaps they should ... start 'em early.

Yep, I'd share *that* with him, "dad".
That father needs a serious intervention... I could only hope.
A three minute lesson on capitalism.

No way! Uninspired slacker gets nada! Can you tell this got under my skin!?
Maybe this could be a series, and the son converts the father......
Jan, bookworm
Indeed. There is truth to the old saying, that young minds are impressionable. This is how it begins...
Respectfully,
O.A.
