My area of 3D printing is now being co-opted by the looter-in-chief. You may also notice that the challenge emphasizes "winter holiday". Perhaps I should print a bouncing $0 bill with Obama's mugshot on it.

You are most welcome, Commander. The finances are a tall order, but not an insurmountable one.

How about a globe on fire?
For the tree huggers it would signify one thing ... and for those of us who can conceptualize, quite another!

I'm in....skills and whatever finances I'm capable of....if you'll have me. I have a history of making my customer "can'ts" reality.

Going to have to build "Atlantis".....(examlpe: clive Cusslers' "Strorm") to keep the technology free of "burden".

I remember hearing that way back when. (I realize its only been 6 years, but is so bad it feels like 6 decades)

At this point they would need to 3-D print a ROLL of them to keep track of the money they have wasted

Uncle Sam is looking for the sanction of the victim here. I won't give him that satisfaction.

A minus $100 ($-100) bill would be most appropriate I think. Or better yet, minus whatever amount of debt they run up in DC every second.

Based only on this webpage, I wholeheartedly support this initiative. The challenge should emphasize the winter holidays b/c it's that time of year.

Excellent....I was really unimpressed when material deposition showed up on the market. Strength of materials was in question for any application I had.

Not yet. We're still working on the 3D printing of metals. My "John Galt" of a student thinks we're a couple of months away. I think it's more like 6 months. That would not be stainless yet either.

    However, you should check out

an Australian company in Kickstarter mode.
They are definitely ahead of us.
