    US would be best, but a plan B might be useful. What about Antarctica or the ocean? As dangerous as it is, a flotilla in the sea could protect itself. Could we cloak with fog? It would not be the one of AS, but that part of the book was not its best. For the 1940's Galt's cloak probably seemed possible in the future. We have some invisibility technology, bending images around. But real cloaking will probably have to wait for a breakthrough (in a different discipline usually!). Too bad space travel is not feasible or the looters might give up their dream of world domination, er, eh hem, I mean teamwork... yeah. Antarctica would be interesting, to see the government fume and fuss that in spite of the inhospitable climate, nobody deserves to live there, to evolve deeding to real estate on our southern continent.

      The Looter Mentality would not stop with simple national borders or even planetary ones, Heck, a good example of that is the TV Sires Firefly....

      Loosing/PlanB are not an option in my mind...

    I don't believe it's practical to try to build a fortified city in the US. The government could over run it easily with military might. Having hundreds of thousands of fortified houses across the nation is a better start!

      FYI: Idaho is Currently at a stage of being so fed up with the Fed .gov that their is a Lot of talk of Secession ongoing amongst a lot of other related things.

      And As far as "Needing to be Outside the Country" I have been to many other countries, and though some seem to be more free, they aren't.

      I myself plan to stay and win this country back from the Looters, one way or another.

        yea, but somehow the citadel thing seems to be set up for sheeple- not true individuals-"submit your application". things like this are right out of a L Ron Hubbard playbook. stay vigilant and independent for as long as possible. don't buy in to any community.

          I'm not saying that it is "The Thing to do" I am however putting the info out here as an example that at least someone is actually doing more than sitting around and complaining about things.

          Personally their are things I also disagree with with the citadel idea, such as the fact that it is a lease and not ownership in addition to the "application".

          However the fact hat someone is at least trying to come up with and put into action solutions is in my mind a very good thing.
