Oh the gum thing does makes sense...could you imagine a bunch of punk chomping their gum while telling you they need to inspect your bag...ugh! That's just rude. Which is a little different than appearance sake....just a bunch of blue bodies shuffling around acting like they're saving the world when they aren't. It's just for show.
