HUNH? Where did you get that from the article, what I wrote, or what objectivists [of any variety] say or think.
Of course the 4-year-old was not taught to slap a person who took his toy [unless it was someone stronger]. He does, however, seem to have a well-developed understanding of "mine!" What you _teach_ is to not respond with force, unless truly necessary.

Well hey, that's one place hard-core Ayn Rand style objectivists can agree with Christian fans of some of Ayn Rand's work... we both agree that humans are inherently evil and corrupt by nature. Now, they can be taught otherwise, but inherently, it's there. If anyone doubts me, did you teach your 4 year old boy to slap the 2 year old girl when she tried to play with his toy?

WAAAAY down in the article, I found the following: "We’re making a big bet on the fact that most people out there are trustworthy, good, honest people, and those are the kinds of customers we want."
That would certainly not be my first [or maybe 10th] point to look at for customers, but my point of view about people is that they are honest, trustworthy, non-violent, and good until they prove themselves otherwise. and I've noticed that we tend to think that other people are the way we are [one of the reasons the left will never understand us] - so I'm leaving up the barf barrel, for other comments, but I want to keep an eye on these guys, just out of curiosity.

I think we'll have to get a bigger barf bucket - maybe a barf barrel.
