I live in the Philippines because my wife's family (now mine, including grandchildren) is here, and I like the people and climate. Foreigners like me (and you) can't own land here, and this is no place for a foreigner to come and look for employment by others -- American-style laws against discrimination simply don't exist. But for retirement or retire/start a small business, this is a very good environment!!! I invented the old Filipino proverb, "if you feel so good you want to live forever, you must be in the Philippines!!!!"
