The popular argument for allowing this crap is that driving is a *privilege*. This is untrue; driving is a 9th Amendment protected right. The government doesn't (yet) provide the automobile, they don't even provide the roads; we pay for them. The gov't is not in a position to make driving a privilege.
    But, they still try.

Well, a few months back, a young woman refused to be part of a hajib wearing class. She was chastised and I believe sent home. It's in some post that was on here... Uncommonsense's perhaps?

And some of the things allowed in schools there. Surprising really. Maybe there's some false sense of complacence because if that very thing. Too sure of their independent spirit, that this insidious infringement is occurring under everyone's noses.

Texicans keep pushing the idea that the heart of conservatism is in Texas (I would argue that the heart is farther up, in OK. Making Texas the genitals of conservatism....)
But, we keep getting examples of authoritarianism in Texas, which is hardly surprising considering that Texas must have a tremendous influx of illegals from authoritarian societies south of the border.

A friend of mine was pulled over at a random DUI checkpoint. Another friend told me his wife was almost arrested. My friend that was pulled over had quit drinking about 10 years ago. His wife told the officers and they didn't listen. He was willing to just comply to a breathalizer and she was just as addament that he shouldn't. In the end he did but I wish he had made them come up with probable cause. Scary out there.

I can't imagine what the conversation would be like if anyone from the Gulch was pulled over for this. I would like to talk to the "officers" pulling people over.

I think you are on to something. There are a bunch of people, probably a majority, who will willingly give most of these samples for nothing. Just testing the waters here. Jeez...this is creepy stuff!

No. If you are an American citizen you actually are livestock. Once you come from that premise all these types of things make sense.

    Me? Oh, I wouldn't comply. I'm a bad cow.

We don't have the courage we used to have. The reply is: "If this is voluntary I choose not to participate. Thank you and good bye."

At 50 seconds: "They wanted to test her breath for alcohol...for free". What a deal!

Police cars with their lights flashing. Police officers saying no you cannot drive where you want, please pull off into this area. And..."It is 100% voluntary!" Well, that's a relief. And...they apparently do a check for alcohol before they even ask you to sign a consent form. Your FEDERAL government at work. They just happen to be doing it in Texas. Texas, show some guts and kick these guys out of your state.
