Magee was indicted on weapons and drug charges. The weapons were legal except for the fact that when found alongside the drugs they become accessories to the crime. The jury failed to indict him owing to the fact that they were convinced that Magee saw the officers legitimately as robbers....

    Someone getting shot is the logical result of breaking in for no reason.

    I have no problem whatsoever in Magee's reactions and the outcome. Too many times these exact same circumstances have resulted in a dead innocent at the wrong address. I just wonder why he's still on bail (reduced from $1m to $50k) if he was no billed and I imagine he's been jailed for the entire time since the incident till now.

    Texas is changing.

    That's refreshing. It doesn't really say why the swat team was even there. How much of this goes on that isn't reported?
