This is essentially what the Convention of States movement is about.

I sent an email to the local Ga house rep yesterday asking him to prepare a plan for alternate currency and state bank in case of a federal banking emergency.
No reply (yet.)
Probably thinks I am wearing a tin-foil hat.

The Fed gov't is using "nullification" on its own federal laws, why shouldn't the states.
This should go along with the article on some NY towns looking to secede from NY and join PA. This could get interesting.
