I love that this town chose to put these up, and that the people who live there offered to pay for the signs. Smart way to deter would be thieves. Now to start posting them at schools.

I suspect the sales of the .223 will boom. It's being challenged as a violation of the 2nd amendment. One way or another, Obama isn't going to win this one regardless of what our wimpy congress does.

The claimed purpose of those signs is "the multiplier" for the fines/charges imposed on those who break laws in those zones.

There is a real war here between Pro-2A people and "Cease-Fire-PA". They are the ranking gun-grabber group here in PA. It's frustrating because the common attitude of the Pro-2A person is to defend the rights of even those who disagree with them. But the common attitude of the ant-gunner is to wish harm on the Pro-2A folks. And the Pro-2A folks have to just swallow that inconsiderate treatment, otherwise the ant-gunners use any counter rudeness to say "see, this is the attitude of the gun nuts". So, we (Pro-2A) have to battle nicely while the ant-gunners constantly just "spit in our faces". People just can't seem to recognize the "divide & conquer" strategy at play here. We really need to stick together to battle the tyrants of government.

Obnoxious people! And the first ones to come running when they're defenseless.
Glad the community that put these up remains undeterred.

    Hello to you, OA!

Yes, I'd wager they sleep soundly. I like that type of interface, ESPECIALLY of the revolver iteration.

Nice to see your face! ;-)

I live in PA. Shortly after the signs posted hit the news, they were vandalized. Someone or some people sprayed grey/silver spray paint on the faces of the signs, blocking out the message. Word was that citizens of the community were helping clean the signs up.

It may not be a gun free zone, BUT neither is it a brain free zone. There are some smart, rational folks living in the Township.

Trying to take away all of the .223 ammo guarantees that the most popular rifle in the us--M.15/16 will be eliminated

I prefer a silhouette target with three bullet holes in the face stating "there's nothing here worth your life" :-)
