A match made in crony hell, if I ever saw one. I was actually not surprised in the least when I read which university was getting the grant to fund this utterly ridiculous waste of money study to limit how I enjoy cooking my food. Btw, because there isn't natural gas available where I live, my stove is operated using propane... Is that getting scrutinized soon, I wonder??

When are the representatives, who supposedly have our backs, going to finally deal with the EPA in an aggressive manner of defunding their punitive projects?? Because enough is enough!

    And why not? It's your house. It should be what you want it to be. There is one around here.... Two towns over. It isn't white, but a brown color. Blends with the woods.
    I like the horse! That would need to be at my gulch house. A few, actually. :-)

    Years and years ago when I was sailing, it was like that. Zero light pollution. And waaaaay up near the top of lake Champlain it's so. The satellites are even quite visible.
    Even here we have very little. There is a world class observatory at our high school, which has second Saturday of the month events. Really cool stuff!
    And the ceiling of which you speak; trey ceiling. Love those!

    I want one of the double ceilings....maybe in the dining room.... that's wired between the 2 layers and has itsy twinkly LEDs just barely showing. But where I lived in "my perfect house" and where I will live again, hopefully soon, will be a place with no light pollution, so all you have to do is walk outside and........aaaaah. nothin' like it.

    I painted a stripe in my closet in our last house - WAY, WAY outside my comfort zone to see if I could do it. After all, it's paint - if you hate it, you can paint over it. I did a stripe in which the 2 sides [top & bottom} were at different angles, and faded it from the darkest purple to lavender, and back, sort of randomly. It was glorious! I'm doing it again, with the next house - the one we're starting to look for. My shading from one color to another got better, because I did it a lot for theatre - and, to really set the knowledge, taught other people to do it. I can't wait!
