How did I miss this? To be directed by Bryan Singer!

yes, I've thought now and again how sad it is that we don't really have much in the way of forward-looking science fiction any more.

I saw a trailer for The Martian yesterday - a geek adventure movie about an astronaut accidentally left behind during a crisis exit from a Mars mission. Great book; I hope they do not botch the movie.

This is more good news. I really hope this carries the torch a bit further forward of Arts Leading: In this case, Art is leading political philosophy, where it is desperately needed. (Generally I refer to Art leading Science.)

I used to love reading Hienliein when younger. This was one of my favorites. Hope they do good keeping to the script.

Atlas Shrugged and The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress are two books that help create the spirit of independence in any thinking reader, and my two favorite books. It is a sign of the times that they come to the big screen at nearly the same instant.
Could Unintended Consequences be Eastwood's next project?

Long on my "favorite books" list....

So was Starship Troopers and they butchered that horribly....as I expected to be honest.

I would love for them to do the novel proud with the movie, but hold out scant hope of that.
