What should happen, I wonder, to the women who have made false allegations of assault? I'm thinking about the woman from the Rolling Stone story. The narrative about the campus rape culture has been pretty well discredited. What does the good professor feel should happen to these women who have essentially ruined some young men's lives already? What about cases like the Duke lacrosse team case? Or does that behavior by some women also have its root cause as something men do?

I don't think that would be a punishment that would fit the crime for something like harassment, I think that would be an appropriate punishment for rape though

It sounds like she was actually arguing against strict rules classifying behavior as sexual harassment. She's using awkward hyperbole to say she's for aggressively prosecuting bona fide criminal behavior, but "these new codes" apply to "ordinary interpersonal tangles and erotic confusions that pretty much everyone has had to deal with at some point in life".

I will bet you a million dollars that women would be devastated if men stopped paying attention. I know I would!
