News in Hawaii was the law did not provide for an opt out but like the Seattle kids they could have not shown up during testing. At my school a few students wether random or not did not show up for the exam. The next day I had a vice principal give me about 5 notes to students saying they had to attend the make up exam. He even emphasized the tell them they must attend. I gave them the notes but instead of the "must be there" I gave them a "good job"
I like the idea of a class sit out, it could work, and I know next years junior class advisor. Fun Times!
Aloha
