Never Let The Facts Get In The Way

Dumb and Dumber
You may recall that a few weeks ago, President Obama spoke of three former Presidents making prisoner swaps at the end of wars that took
place on their watch, "much like this swap" he said convincingly.

CNN carried this quote, "This is what happens at the end of wars."
President Barack Obama boasted Tuesday when he was asked about swapping American Army Sgt. Deserter for five vicious Taliban terrorists. "That was true for George Washington...That was true for Abraham Lincoln and that was true for FDR. That’s been true of every combat situation, that
at some point, you make sure that you try to get your folks back...
And that’s the right thing to do.

Really?
That statement blatantly demonstrates that the most powerful man in the World and two term President of the United States lacks even a grade school level of knowledge of American History; specifically, history as it relates to three of our most famous presidents and it demonstrates again that we have essentially elected a foreigner who has no understanding of the very country that he reigns supreme over.

Then again, he was educated at an Ivy League school so you can't expect too much.
What's wrong with his statements?
Let's keep it simple-- EVERYTHING is wrong!

1. George Washington did not become president until six years after the Revolutionary War ended in 1783. By 1789 there were no longer any prisoners for him to exchange.

2. Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in mid-April of 1865. The Civil War ended the following month. He was still dead at that time. No deals were made to exchange prisoners after the war. All prisoners were simply freed.

3. FDR died of a stroke before the end of WWII. Like Lincoln, he stayed dead after the war so he couldn't do what this jerk says he did. You'll recall that Harry S. Truman made the decision to drop two nuclear bombs on Japan, ending World War II. He made no deals for prisoners. We went in and released them when necessary.

4. None of the Presidents that Obama noted were in office at the ends of those wars, making it impossible for them to make any sort of prisoner swaps, let alone the 5 for 1, plus unspecified cash, for a deserter and traitor by our "57 States" president.

5. It should be pointed out that countless deserters and traitors were shot or hung during all three of the aforementioned wars.

What amazes one even more than the ignorance of the President is that he has managed to surround himself with a staff that is just as clueless?
... or willing, as the media are, to cover for his dumb, lying rhetoric and behavior!

P.S. Obama mentioned while being interviewed on Super Bowl Sunday while in the Whitehouse kitchen, that George Washington drank beer in the White House when he was president .

George Washington never lived in the White House; it wasn't built yet

Well, Ben_C, I believe that you are mostly right, but
I think I read that only one American soldier was
shot for desertion in World War II-Private E.D.Slo-
vick. (At least, formally. On the field, I don't know).
And I think I have read that there were none in
World War I. (But about the Navy and the Ma-
rines,Coast Guard, and Air Force, I don't know).

While these lies are minor and can be attributed to a lack of knowledge they illustrate the character of a man who is so out of place in his high office that even many of those who were with him from the start are looking ashamed. Of course, this president has no shame. The lies he told of health care and other important issues have negatively affected the lives of thousands, perhaps millions of people.

the "homeboy" who lives in the white house and all of his advisers(?) received supposedly the grade school education at government schools so they learned to say what ever comes into their heads. tragically the press that covers the homeboy went to these same schools so they know as little about the country as he does. the homeboy is not ignorant but rather stupid.

I pray to God that I get to stick around long enough to know at least some of what history says about this presidency. Will it reflect that a major portion of the public turned back to racism which created al this havoc around the world, or will it reflect the actual truths?

History is a weird thing, and unless we record and teach it truthfully, there will be nothing we will ever learn from it. I can point to the Middle East Wars as a result of the lies taught about Vietnam.

True story; as a kid on the farm in Newburg, Wisconsin I learned first hand not to step in horse shit, especially when it's fresh and still steaming. So now what should I teach my grandchildren about it? Should I lie and let them experience it themselves, or should I tell them the truth. That's what history's all about.

YAH, SURE, BUT, I heard president Obama say on TV to Dennis Bounds (a neighbor and King5 TV News anchor), quote: “other than maybe the CEO of Boeing, I don’t know anybody who’s done more to sell Boeing planes around the world, than ME, and this administration”. So there, right out of the chiefs mouth.

Excuse me, truth is not a tool for those who promote a socialist agenda. Lies are an effective tool. The end justifies the means...and why shouldn't a person who knows what best for another, lie to that person for their own good?

One of my sisters, a staunch progressive who rolls her eyes at the mention of socialism, once stated very plainly:

"Of course he lies, he has to or he won't be able to get anything done."

This is an intelligent woman who has held high positions in well respected national organizations. This exemplifies, to me, why the government and media are able to do the things they do.

    Moral relativity.

Why do you feel the need to capitalize "president" when referring to Osama?

Ha. Yes. We can change it back when we have someone who actually respects the US.

What else can be expected whenever Presidebt O'Pinnocio moves his lips?
I recently posted a video in which the Liar-In-Chief stated that we (really he) had won two wars.
Guess it was the tail end of that alternate universe fantasy when five top Islamic fanatics were traded for one cowardly deserter, who was immediately deemed worthy of Superman DC Bizarro Planet White House praise.
Now it is said this was no Obooboo. King Barry knew otherwise.

Maybe we should change the name of the US to Wonderland; nothing makes sense anymore. Starting with this joker being elected when there were serious questions about his citizenship and growing exponentially from there. I'm completely baffled as to how things like Benghazi, IRS and releasing 5 terrorist leaders are so easily swept under the rug. And it continues with hillary...
Sometimes I have to wonder if i am somehow missing some important piece of information that everyone else knows....

When will conservatives, libertarians, and objectivists realize that honesty and integrity are of no value to the progressive liberal? Truth is irrelevant, it is only the acceptance of their ideology and the acquisition of power that matters to them. The end justifies the means. They realize the the use of codewords and jargon is far more influential than logic and rational thinking. This is especially true when you consider the state of education in this country. As long as our schools teach what to think instead of how to think things will continue to deteriorate.

    He is not even that.

    1. His birth certificate looks like an amateurish forgery.

    2. His father was a British colonial subject of what was then British East Africa and is now Kenya.

So by the criteria set forty by Emmerich de Vattel, he does not qualify as a natural born citizen.

I don't see ignorance. I see a deliberate ploy to rewrite history.

He is an American by birth only. There are too many in politics that don't love the country.

And just so we don't forget the brilliance of his predecessor, (and his oath to defend the law of the land)
The Constitution is just a GD piece of paper.

The Prez himself said, "Facts can be stubborn things." I still use that one myself, at least once per week.

President Zero plays fast and loose with facts. Why would you let facts get in the way of a good story?! It's the narrative that is important, not the facts. Please don't downvote me for this. I am trying to be sarcastic.
