China tests hypersonic missile

I have seen phrases tossed around like "We don't need a military so big" and "the constitution does not provide for a standing military." I figured I would post this for those in denial that the wolves still gather at the door.

It does not take much research to find out that it takes a lot to shoot down an incoming missile. Now think about trying to shoot one down while it was traveling at hypersonic speed.

Then again, maybe the Chinese plan to use these to deliver ice cream cones.

People have developed this idea that we are invincible, that somehow the USA will always be here. I have even seen this attitude here in the Gulch. It continues to amaze me that people are so naive as to think the Aircraft Carrier Liaoning, the Chengdu J-20, and this hypersonic missile are some kind of lawn decorations for the Chinese capitol. They don’t consider the implications of the fact the American F22 Raptor has never been put into full service. That means the J-20 is a generation AHEAD of the Hornets and Falcons in our inventory. I hope it does not take a hypersonic missile in the butt to wake people up.

    Or plastic toys.
What the heck! This is very dangerous, and really needs to stir those who think our government is all buddy-buddy with China. That couldn't be further from the truth. They are not our ally. People have gotten too complacent. They've been hacking our info with abandon. What have they gleaned?
