Why the change of actors?

Why the change of actors in atlas Shrugged Part 1 and 2? While I enjoyed both movies tremendously and await part 3 with great impatience I am puzzled by the above question.
No doubt, both casts were wonderful as if born to play their parts, I would have thought that the actors surely recognized their excellence in their performances and the producers and director surely were delighted as well.
Does anyone know the answer?

I must however disagree with some of the comments I saw in that both sets of actors seemed to find their way to the core of the story in their portrayals, but I do agree that the producers made a great error in the manner of their decisions.
