For those of us who are retired using the VA system nothing changes - yet. But my 55yo wife is now covered for maternity - oh wait, she had a hysterectomy 25 years ago, but I'll still "get" to pay for that coverage and the price of her insurance? It goes up 64% with a $4000 deductible and like these people she now has a $40 per visit copay.

Hold on to your shorts America, Ocare is going to save everybody $2500 a year - that WAS the lie. Now it's "Ooops, I made a mistake". I'm sending my bill to the White House for him to pay.

    The point I'm trying to make is: Why would employers offer good insurance packages if they're going to get slammed with 40% tax rates?

    You're talking figures for paying for health insurance that exceed my gross income...

    I should have added that my wife is a contract employee. While she only works for one company, she is considered a independent contractor and therefore self employed. I think this is a crooked way of them getting out of paying half of her SS and medical, but at least she has a job. One more hit like this and she might as well stay home.

    For many years after the kids moved out we just traveled but since she decided to go back to work we can't go as much as we'd like and she works at home as much as at work and now this. It won't take much more and she'll be working for free.

    If the public had remembered that the ACA was pushed by the progressives they would have recognized the following
    1. Affordable - unaffordable
    2. Care - no care
    Leading strait to the title of the post.
    I missed and I look for those type of thing.
