Exactly. Don't be surprised that everyone who may get their student loans "forgiven" will be charged by the IRS as taxable income & thus will have to pay taxes on something that they didn't pay on. Thus, the BS circus will continue in some form or another. (sigh)

I remember when I was in college many years ago. I was talking to a professor and I told him I had just read the Government (State I believe) was going to increase the funding for College grants. At the time I thought it was a good idea. He said it wouldn't make a difference for the students because any time funding increased the schools just raised tuition enough to take it. I'm glad I can watch this from the sidelines.

What's gonna really piss me off is when the government "forgives" all those student loans after I paid about a million dollars to educate my children.
