    The authorities in this case are saying that the water which falls from the sky (rain) and lands on your property is not, in fact, yours. So collecting it is forbidden. (I was actually looking into doing the same thing, albeit to use to water a garden. This is what brought me across this nonsense in the first place.). My concern other than the obvious is that if we follow that to it's logical conclusion, we could be taxed on how much rain falls on our houses and gardens! Someone told me that that's already being done in the Pacific Northwest.

    Now I don't care where one falls on the political spectrum...there is NO justification for this and I can't imagine how a group of citizens would sit still for it!!!!
