Sorry, I see how my comment could have been taken wrongly. Each to his own taste in music. I did see the comment 'nu disco', but I almost always listen unless its something I already know. Wouldn't want to miss something I might enjoy. Regardless, thanks for posting.
Regarding your two bottom lines: so did I. I can agree with your opinion on the other thoughts, but before you assume, here's a few facts:
I'm in my mid-forties. Former bass guitar player Played Pink Floyd until I was blue in the face. Loved playing about 1/3 of SRV's stuff (very challenging) Could play about 25% of Rush. (Playing The spirit of radio was a major accomplishment) Sick of playing Eric Clapton, though my favorite bass line of all time is his own remake of After Midnight, circa 1988. Own a vast amount of Classical music. (Got Chopin? Telemann?)
Overall, I'm rather sick of 'rock' and largely, don't listen to it anymore.
I believe you may have overlooked the phrase "Nu Disco" ~ that probably should have been the clue. It doesn't matter, each is to their own!
Singer thyat doesn't sing. 3 note rubbish. Repeating the same instrumental phrase a hundred times with nothing else. No performance excellence by anyone. Sounds like computerized blech. "Entertainment" in a strip club with lots of pole dancers gyrating? Glad I grew up in a time when there was music. And musicians who learned to play their instruments. And composers with creativity.
