It shows severe compartmentalization to completely rely upon electronics where vital information is concerned when no one has even addressed the likely hood of it being stolen or most probably wiped out in a single solar burst of electromagnetism. Not to mention...needing a source of power to retrieve the info...causes global warming, don't ya know! hahahahahahahahahahahah
Even the lecherous left isn't going to support this.
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
At this point I always jump in with:
Imagine all the monkeys, flying out my butt!

My personal profile for the outside world consumption is sparse, so I'm not sure how I'd cope with a system like Australia is considering. Biometric "hacking" is tricky, but I suppose it would be not too difficult to substitute the data on record to match the identity thief. A more dynamic key system may be necessary, like a PIN generated just prior to any travel.
With everything he's had written, isn't this very philosophical song, his best one?
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

That said, I visited Australia this summer and their border crossing is very efficient.
On the other hand, they also take photographs of everyone and are building a gigantic database of them, which is kind of creepy.
