In our crony capitalist system I think this story was released so that the bidding could begin. All the states they are interested in have been put on notice and the highest bidder wins the jobs.

    Truck coming next year. Still just 200 mile range. Don't think they're going to beat that with Lithium-ion.

    Plus, another $20-30k in 3 to 4 years to replace the batteries. I'm waiting for all these Prius owners to get to the point where they need to replace their batteries and get the sticker shock of the cost.

    The Pittsburgh Airport was built to the specs of USAir. They had a hub herel at the time and created a lot of jobs for this region. After 9/11 the company was pushed into bankruptcy and eventually left Pittsburgh. We now have a beautiful airport that is half empty...or full...

    that means if you live in the "winning" state-taxpayers get nothing if the factory succeeds and holds the bag if the factory fails.

    Yep. There two around here. They also have NY plates. They're the weekend cars apparently. Do heavy driving required. One happens to be the S model, even. SPLURGE!

    I just looked up Tesla's base model $69,900. They think 500,000 people without jobs are going to pay $70,000 for a car?
