I just assume when I see a Prius I am looking at an Obama supporter. I talked to someone who has a Volt and she likes it too. The government subsidies bother me but she said it's a good car.

The Volt doesnt sell because its too expensive for what you get. Without the tax subsidy, its cheaper to just get a similarly sized gas powered car. Blindfold me and I couldnt really tell the driving difference between prius, volt, and a gas car.

A friend of mine bought one recently. Its a nice car, but a bit over the top for something that needs to primarily get you from A to B

I hope we taxpayers havent paid a lot for its development and sales.

I did just fine with regular math. I dont need some government bureaucrats interfering with my learning. which is what happened in the government indoctrination schools I was forced to attend. They were boring, and for comparison, I learn far more now from YouTube than I ever did in their schools.

Aside from being unnecessary, the Volt is a much, much nicer car, technically superior to the Prius. My buddy has one; he commutes ~15 miles to work, and hasn't bought gas in months, although he could drive hundreds of miles on a tank.
The Volt doesn't sell because the same Walmart-Lemming, US-deprecating mentality that gravitates to Sanders and Hillary think Toyotas are better because they are Toyotas.

Trabant is russian, Ugo was a race drirver in Italy and Yugo was as I recall a disaster non electric version of the Volt. GMC you see is not too big to fail as the Volt proved as did every car from what 57 Chev and 61 Chev on up to present no matter what their Buick or Plymouth name was. they managed to turn a corvette into a two door sedan sedan, let a non deisel jeep hummer copy wax hummer and a corporation that no other corporation in the world would touch. But they had a big time political budget... Yugo? Not my favorite but if I HAD to have a car Yugo over GMC any day of the week and twice on Sundays. I'm not paying twice for anything.

I don't know how much it costs but if it were real I would bet a large sum of money that they received a government grant to design and build. :)
