Ridiculously nice and warm here in the People's Republic of Tax-a-chusetts...until yesterday. Snow, ice and cold here now!

Here in the Philadelphia area we have had a fantastic Dec. A few days ago I saw one of our neighbors mowing his lawn! We had a coming out party for my new car, and it was so warm that even Ferrari’s were driven to our party.

TV Program...I should introduce myself. No TV for 20 years....I live full time on a boat. No newspapers. Can't say I miss them. No car... Definitely don't miss that. But I have a dinghy and folding bicycle.

Just be glad you weren't using Midway. If TSA didn't keep me off airplanes MIdway would. Put the two together you might as well hitchhike. That's truly the prime candidate for two armpits and one ass of the nation to use the Corrida awards method

I am sorry for your misfortune. I have never flown but there is a rather amusing episode of Dharma and Greg where they are trying to get to the islands and get stuck at an airport instead. I am not certain but I think they were stuck at O'Hare. You should check it out. It's worth it for the quick giggle. Her humor is intoxicating.

I think we are planning to get an SUV or Minivan soon. We have 4wd trucks for this sort of weather. My Impala gets around pretty well. The front wheel drives are surprisingly agile on this stuff. It helps to have fairly new tires on it as well. If all else fails I have a beat up old awd Subaru in case of emergency, that thing is a tank. We work on cars so we've acquired quite a few ourselves.

That's what the big things are bolted to the extra HD bumpers. Same idea but yours is more inclusive. Still beats an egg shell on roller skates for freeway driving.

We went to O'Hare airport at 2:00 on Monday for our 4:00 flight to London. Every hour our flight got pushed back until 9:00. Got out to the runway and they had mechanical problems so got cancelled. Spent the night in the airport on a rescheduled flight for 9:00 am. Finally in London but luggage is still in Chicago. I don't recommend O'Hare unless you have no other choice.

4WD High Range for ice and rain. If you don't want an SUV or pick me ups get one of those 4wd Subaru Outbacks but for a real driving protection amongst the idiots on motor driven roller skates get the larger vehicle. and order the extra heavy duty bumpers. If the other lemmings want to play russian roulette freeway suicide that's their problem.

Ice is the worst. Can't move on that stuff. Stay safe. I just checked and we have flurries this weekend but no snow yet. I keep thinking with the milder temps we may get some ice soon. Just more Gulch time if we do.

I love my crazy dogs, but I am not sure that I will have more, they are 2 and 1 1/2. So its like having 2 extra toddlers. Can be very trying at times. I have a toddler of my own as well so you can imagine the chaos here. I wanted to live on a boat. Still may once the kids are older. I have always been drawn to water, not sure why, but I love it.

My last was half Malamute, Too big for a boat. He lived a full lifespan. Great guard dog and with children.

My next will be a miniature Labrador. All the lab traits but boat size. Took a while accept a replacement ....

We are closer to the ankle, bug dum chink! I have two malamutes who are far happier than I to go outdoors right now. Their child is a fluffy white kitty we lovingly knicknamed Adominous Ali because she eats anything and thinks she's a Malamute. It is all very entertaining.

Just a couple inches but it sleeted for a whole day before so there's about two inches of ice under an inch and a half of snow. It's pretty treacherous.

Nice pic. No snow yet in Pittsburgh. Fifty degrees again today. Last 2 years were rough so it's kinda nice to have a break. So, how much snow you getting?
