    Re: Maphesdus,
You are correct in pointing out the hypocrisy among some Christians throughout history. Most of us Christians are ashamed of those that committed those sins against Christianity. However, lets not pretend that other non-Christians committed many sins of similar nature and continue to do so today. I am not claiming that one excuses the other, only that history can be very misleading not only by the lies told, but by the truth omitted. History is full of people and events that are indeed horrible, but please remember that all sides did what they did not because they did or did not believe in god, but because they would do anything to gain power and wealth and would use any way of persuasion they could find.

    Re: barwick 11,
Barwick, please remember that as Christians we should only engage in this sort of talk trying to convince non believers if they invite you to do so. However your attempt at trying to explain the actions of people who would place razor blades on playgrounds as an obvious manifestation of evil. There is evil among Christians as there is evil among Atheist. The flaw in people of either beliefs is when they refuse to recognize that evil exists in the world. That refusal seems to be prevalent among liberal progressives.

Sadly, Thoritsu seems to one of those Atheists that is not capable of engaging in these types of discussions in a civilized manner. It's sad when either side is guilty of claiming to be right by disparaging the other side. I ask you to respect each others opinions and trying to find common ground.

Animals do not do this kind of thing, Robbie. These vile people are less than HUMAN, perverted and un-
fit for any society. Also, if you came close to my
gentle dogs who love people, I would keep an
    eye on you.

Robbie, The truth is that you would NOT make me
feel badly; I am not that thin-skinned. Nor do I agree
that it is a deliberate attempt to make oneself feel
superior...etc. Nor do I see arrogance. Too much
psycho-analysis here where none is needed.

Susanne, since you're obviously a Biblical scholar, why don't you explain to me, in the context of all of Scripture, how I am wrong.

Go ahead, I'll wait. Probably till I die of old age, because I'm sure you won't find an answer.

The Holocaust? Seriously? Are you that delusional that you believe the holocaust was perpetrated by Christians?

The Crusades were an act of defense against an invading... guess who... MUSLIM nation that slaughtered the Christians who previously lived in that area.

The Spanish Inquisition, the... which church? The *Catholic* Church, that's which one. The one that Martin Luther sought to reform because of all the vile corruption within it? The same one that has that same vile corruption within it to this day?

At least the protestant church admits its mistakes and condemns them.

Oh, explain how I am taking an indefensible, self-contradictory, and supposedly anti-sane argument.

Burden of proof is on you when you make such absurd claims. I explained to you what the Bible says, and you say I'm taking an indefensible, etc, etc, etc argument.

It is not the place for this argument? Why? You don't have any interest in understanding WHY people do these things? Fine, live in your psychotic fantasy world. I just gave you the answer, but, as I expected, you didn't want to hear it, nor could you understand it.

Barwick11, She did not 'swing around' as she never believed in what she termed 'mysticism.'
She supported logic and reason, the Communists just didn't want any competition
such as religion could give them.

Anyone who would do this where it would intentionally harm children, as this was clearly meant to do, has no morality at all. They are less than animals, and deserve less respect than an animal. I would put a hurt animal out of it's misery - these vile creatures deserve to have misery laid upon them.

Several years ago, I read about something similar in California.

Anyone who would do such a thing is evil, psychotic, or both!

Barwick11 has got some points when it comes
to cooperation between, say, socialists/communists, environmentalists and
fundamentalist Muslims. That would be an interesting issue in itself.

No. JR has had this pointed out other times. Most of us who have been here for any length of time (and most certainly JR) have heard that mm has vision problems and sometimes doesn't catch any misspellings. To continue to point that out is just rude - regardless of who it is. I think of those on this board as if you were a guest in my own home. I wouldn't think to correct you on something like spelling or grammar. If I didn't understand something that you said because of it, I would ask for clarification, but would never make you feel badly about it. As I said, to do so is just arrogance - or a deliberate attempt to make oneself feel superior by pointing out a deficiency in another. That is even worse than just poor manners.

The left-handed version of human endeavor: Too
much time on their hands, no role models. no
education worth a damn, and now a country
where, according to O's pal Van Jones, everything is 'upside-down, inside-out'.

Maybe johnrobert is just nice and friendly. Such
    people do exist, khalling.
As for spelling etc. I am grateful for those who
will take the time to correct me; that's one way
    of learning. Peace.

We do have our own laws which just need to
be followed. Anything ...'Arabic' rubs me the
wrong way having been to Saudi Arabia.
