Ann Coulter does the best job which I've seen so far
at explaining how our angry populace views The Donald.

freedomforall...and you obviously by your forceful statement of certainty about Trump, Have many candidates you would share who are trustable to represent us poor, unenlightened masses. Do you recommend the semi-communist from Vermont, or the Shrieking, evasive wife of the White House child abuser????

To the points listed. Balanced Budget? Right Clinton had one of those farces too. Flat Tax is still as fascist income tax and the percent can change at any time. Term Limits was already declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. Three soft balls three easy ways out for Trump.
got anything substantive or is this just a plea for votes for another left wing socalist corporatist/statist looter?

I would prefer they tried to make it happen rather than tired like to make it happen. But the GOP is heavily their right wing of the left and it will take a lot more than Cruz to keep them from caving. the source of that power is where it has always been but the percentage available is 46% of the voters.

Why do I see the RINOS are left of center? Because they believe firmly in government control of citizens instead of citizens controlling government. The are not Constitutionalists and support fascism s theri vote showed on Dec. 31.

Trump and Bernie both scratch an itch that has been plaguing the country for decades. "Too much power in the hands of too few." The absolute corruption by absolute power is obvious and with us. While their solutions are substantially different both Trump and Sanders have identified the meat of the problem. The Sanders solution is unworkable and is akin to believing in perpetual motion. Trump wants to address the problem by rearranging the deckchairs of the seats of power. This is likely to replace the old scoundrels with new ones. The more things change the more they stay the same.
Bernie is just an addled old 60's liberal that never got over the impossible dream.
Trump is a bit more complicated. For someone that has enjoyed such spectacular success he is oddly insecure. This insecurity is revealed in his unusually thin skin and his tendency to pursue vindictive reprisals against anyone that challenges him.
    Both are dangerous.

Term Limits, Balanced budget, Flat tax. If the GOP would focus on those three items and then try like _ to make it happen, they would be a run-a-way landslide winner at all levels.

Maybe if the guy wins he will be able to implement some of what he is saying; only the shadow knows.
If the S.C. folk are an indication he will win regardless who the demos put out there.
So time as always will tell.

No it isn't. It is run by powerful cartels. The unwashed hordes are brainwashed debt serfs with power to consent to their slavery or to resist.

Not all in the disenfranchised section the 46% that now outnumbers the two parts of the Government party [Republican and Democrat) at 24% and 29%] that are not populist. There are Libertarians, several splinter parties those who are Constitutionalists with out affiliation, some who are old style conservatives without affiliation and in large part people who are just disgusted with rigged elections even some radical leftists and anarchists.

But they all get lumped into one category and treated as one disease by the pundits. It's a way of further marginalizing those who have been driven out and those who refuse to play in a rigged game where the only way to win is don't play.

So for those of us in the 46% and growing category some did remember you

Don't flush your vote in the left wing out house give it purpose

So the republic is dead to you. Full circle back to repressive monarchy by your consent.

I did. His ideas just have no traction in this culture at this time. I feel it's a waste of time to get excited about him with so many entitled and socialist leaning people out there. The only shot at change is to hammer on the practical results of government controls, and trump is helping expose those. Gary Johnson might get 2% of the vote

Btw I am not excusing trumps lack of philosophical consistency. It is what it is. 4 yrs of trump I think will be less than 4 yrs of any of the electable rival candidates

I am losing interest in the whole election affair actually. I am not sure I care whats going to happen to the country. Its out of my control and I need to concentrate on myself. People in the gulch seem to think that Trump is the evil witch of the west, and they will wind up with real evil as a result of that.

so we should trust the other candidates who lie and manipulate? At least Trump says it like it is, and I for one like that and want it in politics now and in the future

Yes, he does, but he doesn't mean to do anything about them unless it adds to his personal power. trump can't be trusted to represent the people.

It seems like this is saying GOP should take note that Americans are rubes who want a populist "America first" (the article's words, not mine) policy. My guess is 25% want that. 25% want some form of socialism, which is about as destructive as the anti-trade foreigners-out policy.
