Ann Coulter does the best job which I've seen so far

What specifics do you have about Johnson that defines what flavor of Libertarian (and there are many) he is? What is there about him that gives you confidence he will have some mystic ability to select justices that are Objectivist without the other unfavorable tendencies I point to that are universally demonstrated by other progressive minded sitting justices?

Even avowed conservative Presidents have been unpleasantly surprised by some of the justices they've appointed, the most recent being Justice Souter, appointed by Bush 41. A Libertarian will naturally want to select from judges with a favorable history of decisions regarding decriminalization of drugs, privacy, and discrimination. Those would find favor among most posting here, but it is inconceivable that such justices will not also favor extreme gun control measures, as just one example exhibited by the current liberal activist justices on our highest court. I would also expect an authoritarian EPA would find such a justice on its side. I could go on, but I hope that's sufficient.

Its ok that you dont like Trump because he is NOT an objectivist. do you really want to live with Hillary? She will kill small business with her $12-$15/ hour minimum wage and her higher taxes. She is incompetent at foreign relations, as Obama was, and is into big giveaway programs to continue the "Obama legacy". At least trump doesnt suggest that stuff.

Perhaps its somewhat emotional, but I really dislike Hillary (always have). She is power hungry, manipulative, a whore to her contributors, and lies through her teeth and then hides when caught. At least with Trump he tells you how it is, doesnt read from scripted speeches, and doesnt pander to contributors. I could be convinced to perhaps 40%, but that would bump HIllary to 99% and Sanders to over 100%

So no details on Johnson, just a fear of what might happen based on Rand's disagreement with now likely dead libertarians?
At the time of Rand's comments (early 70s) Johnson was 18 years old and just starting college.
    How about objective analysis?
Pardon me, if I have misunderstood your reply.

There is so much hatred of Trump on this forum, its incredible. If you want to be a hater, do it on the real enemies, like Sanders and Hillary. THEY are the ones who will continue and accelerate the damage Obama has done

The hatred for Trump on this forum is really a mystery to me. Next to Gary Johnson and Rand Paul, both of whom are totally unelectable in this political culture, Trump is the next best candidate. AND WE WILL GET EITHER TRUMP OR HILLARY/SANDERS.

I don't think Bernie couild ever be the answer. He is Obama on steriods when it comes to the job market. His whole socialist approach will not just depress the jobs market but I believe will destroy many more jobs.
Trump may not be our best choice but I believe he will atleast increase the jobs market. If he is the candidate, we unfortunately vote for him enmass because we (the USA) can't afford 4 or more years of progressive/liberal policies let alone the fact that the Senate cannot then stop another liberal Supreme Court Justice. That would surely flush our Constitution down the toilet!!!!

Regards Johnson, I'm merely taking caution from Ayn Rand, who regarded Libertarians as a greater threat than Communists. No justice will be progressive only on the issues this current crowd of Objectivists (myself included) favor, opening the door to the unintended growth of state power over individual rights and liberties.

even if he won't answer the revolution is over...we are either in counter revolution to restore the constitution or we accept the fundamental goodies the revolution brought us ...such as arrest under mere suspicion ....

got to keep the terms accurate and stay focused

without that it will be a fourth revolution that we don't want.

for you start with an empty sheet of paper and it will be written by the winners ...

At this point, I think peaceful resistance is the best course, Mamaemma.
We each must decide the best way to accomplish this, but voting based on principle instead of based on fear must be paramount. Choosing carefully to support only those who also support liberty and free markets could also be a priority. Those who support statist activities are the enemy and they do not deserve our patronage. The movie and tv business in particular are philosophically biased toward the state and have very effectively re-educated the public to accept the unacceptable. Public education should be exposed as the propaganda machine it is. People must use the bias argument against the local eductaion establishment if there is to be a fair chance for rational ideas to be taught.

We have been living in that "real" world of political betrayal and power corruption for far too long. You want more government control, less individual liberty, less free markets, then vote for HRM Trump. His reputation preceeds him if you take the time to examine his past actions.
Good people must take a stand on principle regardless of the current "reality." If the founders of the States united had done as you recommend when their "reality" looked grim, America would never have existed and we would be having this conversation using snail mail instead of the internet.
That comment on Johnson is nothing more than fear mongering and its not what I would have expected of you, DrZ.

    Obama offered change.
Be careful what you wish for.
No ethical candidate has a chance to win if people vote based on fear and not based on principle. You can see the result of this in the past 30 years of conservatives giving the GOP chance after insane chance to defend liberty against the looting of the Democrats. But the GOP has a different agenda than the promises they always break. If Trump becomes the GOP candidate he will be no different. he will deliver the lies with a big flourish (like Make America Great Again) but he will deliver betrayal.

Stop being a pawn and vote based on principle.

The RNC machine or DINOS is the right wing of the left and are controlled by the left. The anger or disgust is directed towards the single party system . Life is much more pleasant when you don't use the propaganda definitions of the opponents.
