It seems I haven't put this link up before, so here it is now - a link to a quickie video I did with the actual recording that Ayn Rand listened to while writing "Atlas Shrugged" - the love music from Mussorgsky's opera "Boris Godunov." A friend of AR's confirmed to me that this was the exact performance she had on record: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nI5ifOzLE...

I'm delighted it as so delightful! I'm planning a piano version of the Mussorgsky clip, so we can hear something like what the "real" Halley 5th might have sounded like.

I found them on sale on Abebooks dot com. I alerted ARI, no one acted on them, and for $9k they were mine. Includes an original family picture. : o

Those were both incredible and moving... I hate to say it, but I did envision Halley's 5th as more like the second one than the Love Scene in Godunov (Especially since the book mentions hearing it on the piano) but still... either way... wow. I am floored, and uplifted!
