Good to hear from you. I too asked for it, got what I deserved, but never did I consider it abuse. My Father never damaged anything but my excessive pride. He would not tolerate disrespect to my elders, but never inflicted corporal punishment that was not deserved, or caused physical harm beyond a welt. I admit my transgressions and also learned from them. It did not destroy my precious self esteem. Nonsense... for some of us it is a character builder. I learned mental discipline and tried to please him that much harder. These latest generations have been pampered and coddled. The results are guys like the one in the story. Generations like ours are largely being replaced with misguided, entitled, crybabies.

So who is at fault? The woman with zero self esteem otherwise she would have kicked the bum out long ago, or the guy with zero motivation who has found a good thing. And what about the parents? Where is their 2x4? Isn't it grand the change in our society from long standing liberal policies? (Sarcasm). New Zealand is looking really good about now.

Because the goal of the educational system is to show that women can do anything that men can do. So young men are being made to feel useless.

The woman in the first article allowed the discussion to go on for too long. Why listen to anything a leaching bum has to say. The 2 men in the next article started to have a point then lost it. It is better to work smart than hard. If you are educated and well trained you can get to a position where you make more money for less hours put in. They obviously want to put zero hours in. Thru government handouts and girlfriends like this we have a coddled generation. Where is John Galt?

You know when I was younger my mom was asking me to do something. I told her to F off, not realizing that my dad was behind me.

My dad picked up a two by 4 that was on the ground and smacked me the butt so hard it cracked the 2x4 and made me remember the incident sharply for a week every time I sat down, and sit tenderly for a month.

At the time I was hitting a very rebellious stage. This incident cured the problem in me. I understood there were lines that you do not cross.

Today this would be child abuse, but for me it was a golden learning moment that improved the person I am for the rest of my life.

I had earned a spanking with my fathers hand before, but this instance was one time, and the last time my dad ever spanked me. I insured I would never need it again by my actions.

Average Americans. It brings me no joy to say that, too. Also...it's damn hard for young ladies to meet good men. Many of the guys have had their masculinity stripped, don't want to work, smoke dope, play video games, etc...

Sounds like the conversation Bernie sandwich must of had with his first wife in the dirt floor house they lived in. He didn't have a job till he was 40 and that was in government.
