    Granted that I got out in '90, but from '81-'90 it was the same standard for all men.

    Don't know about now. Only about the flack it caused in 68/69. That was the period of Afro's and Adm. Zumwalt (?)

    I watched this start in the Navy in 68/69 with black men. They were allowed different hair cuts than white men 'to recognize their cultural differences.'
