I do not have stats. I am thinking along these lines. a cop on a bike is usually because he/she can go where a car cannot. say sidewalks, pedestrian only locations. once engaged in stopping a crime or chasing a suspect, the biking cop would pick up speed. I don't even know if biking cops carry firearms, but I guess if they did, they'd get off the bike to draw one. a bike traveling in pursuit maybe up to 15 mph, then brake slam, jump off, pull, aim, fire. due to inertia, the bike will continue moving after one leaves it. the cop at this point is focused on continuing chase on foot or pulling a firearm. my point is the bike could smack someone. I like cops on horses. more civilized ;)
I agree with the daytime brazenness in such a public place. I would agree that it seems systemic. I wonder if the unemployment rate plays a role. I mean, you're not working, the excitement in your life has to be pretty low. I always think that about youth populations with a high unemployment rate in urban areas. I'm with pirate though. 25 cops on bicycles, receiving training, apparently ALL needed for the impromptu arrest. We have overkill, just bicycles and cops seems sort of funny to me. you'd need circus training-how to jump off your bike and pull a firearm without injuring bystanders 101.
They can't afford a room... I think congress should act quickly... design a new law for public funded park screw rooms... It's not THEIR fault they can't afford a private room, instantaneously, on the spot... have some compassion man. Any port/park in a storm.
Oh no! I just think I have been lucky enough to not have witnessed such a brazen display as was described. Also I do believe the frequency of such behavior has increased and the participants are less inhibited. At least in my day people tried to be a bit more discreet. Well, maybe I have been sheltered... Midwestern values... Who knows. Just lucky I guess... :)
I remember the 70's fashions... Check out the guy's collars... Imagine how much more racy a video would be for such a song today. The mores have changed and now we witness animal sex in the park... and it isn't the birds and the bees... :)
lol. funny, I used to like that song-I guess I never saw the lawrence welk performance! these people look like they only sip sweet tea in the afternoon!
