"Ayn Rand was a visionary who’s book and subsequent movie Atlas Shrugged, seems timeless. As a child living in Russia she experienced first hand what happens dictatorial government comes to power. The vision of her parents’ store being confiscated by the government in the name of the “social good” and the destruction it caused in their lives influenced her view of totalitarianism and the way that a free society can erode into a socialist society.

“Who is John Galt?” is a question asked throughout the movie. The answer seems to elude everyone and be as tough to answer as the age old question “What is the secret of the universe?
