I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch...
I am in Alaska, and living in my own version of stepping off the mainstream shell game. I'm a productive individual who is interested in meeting like minded folks.
I enjoy Alaska for it's self reliance opportunities - and wonder if there are more people in this group who live on a grid of their own making?

Skagway -- just a taste of Alaska. . you're 'way up
there in the country! . it is gorgeous, from the little
which I've seen. . how far are you from the arctic
circle? . I have a friend who rode his bike up there
a few years ago -- what an adventure! . I wish that
I could take my Harley on such a run! -- j
p.s. I looked you up -- are you mostly east of
Anchorage, in the middle of the Wrangell-St.Elias
Park?

It's a varied landscape over a scale you witnessed very little of, regardless of how much time one spends traveling around Alaska!
I just got my first opportunity to spend a short time in the Tongass rainforest on Prince Of Wales island.
My website is about the work I am doing in my area of Alaska - about 300 miles from Anchorage. I own several tourism related businesses: www.McCarthyLodge.com
I've homesteaded north of Fairbanks years ago along the Chatanika River.
Where did travel in Alaska?
your beautiful State when you can! . my wife and
I were there in 09 and fell in love with it. -- john

There are about 3 dozen residents who live there year around. We are surrounded by the highest concentration of mountains and glaciers in North America.
