Thoritsu, it seems to me your HR department is full of racists, sexist people illustrating the need for government intervention. After all, they apparently have no males, no non white, no transgendered, no underrepresented minority's, and are lacking in the requisite small animal population. They obviously ARE the problem...shame on you for trying to sell such a biased organization off as not having a problem. (all this should be screamed at the highest, most annoying nasal pitch possible, for full effect, of course. :)

Realistically, it should be just an individual thing, where merit wins out. Every candidate should be interviewed with disguised voices and behind wall separators. Qualifications, experience and capability is what the employer is wanting. Usually, unless they have government contracts or something...

My least favorite of this whole "diversity" campaign is that it is a complete lie. First that it is a real problem. Second that those instituting the campagin atre lying about their intentions, and Third, it requires you to engage in the lie to participate.
If you ask, "I always seek to hire the most qualified candidate. Do you want me to change that?"
They'll say "No, no. We just want you to consider other factors when hiring."
In our office the HR department realized they had a "diversity" problem. >75% of the HR people are white women, 90% of the leadership are white women.

If you want to see how little a problem "diversity" is in the US, look are the highest earning ethnic group, minority Asians! This is the right example of how to solve the diversity problem. Work and study hard, blame no one, and take what you earn.

I think that sums up the current scenario. Most people who are not programmed into believing "Hillary Beast or Bust" see her as a privileged criminal who is a poster child for all the crap of the last eight years, and the total disregard for law or justice.
