I think the left sees him as a pawn of the rich (since he is sort of rich) and he has used the system to abuse the poor and the elderly, and I am sure they really do think he took Linberghs baby...
But he is annoying in many ways. Maybe that is part of the charm, since politicians traditionally kiss everyones butt, and lies to all. Trump has no real need to do that, so he resonates with a lot of frustrated people. I am just not too sure he is stable enough to do the job without pissing off the entire world. But then, most of the world is already pissed off at someone.

I would hope. It sort of reminds me of Seven Days in May, I hope some of the command level people have the backbone to "just say no".
