It's not about Clinton any more. It's about (1) a faceless crew of FBI investigators, and (2) Comey's timing.
[And who she picks for vice pres] if she picks joey ( a know psychotic) or Hya Watha...(a known idiot) we're toast.

The people were little interested in Watergate ahead of Nixon's re-election, but afterward the nation went nuts on it. I'm sensing a repeat here. Fauxcahontas could well be waiting in the wings.

As to a presidential pardon, consider that Hillary's private server received at least 2 official emails from Obama himself, so could he pardon her without impugning himself?

I can't wait until we have to cut steaks with butter knives.
Whoa, scratch that. By the time Big Brother takes all our sharp points and edges away, we'll all be vegans because livestock passes gas.

Because as President the must be impeached before they are tried. Ergo sum pardon does not apply. They can however a la Nixon resign and then be pardoned review that for the particulars. That would be by the former VP. She is sworn ind, indicted by the Justice department (remember the topic heading said 'a report made by the FBI' a report is not an arrest and Justice does the indictment portion.) Having been sworn in she can immediately resign and do a Nixon. Which means the sole qualification her running mate must have is some club she holds over their head to ensure the pardon is granted. Sworn at noon. Resigns at 12:05. VP Sworn at 12:10. New President signs pardon at 12:15 She walks. The question is the indictment but it can be issued and then the pardon dated. Do you think Pinky Promise Kerry would go for that deal?

Or just to prolong the agony the new Prez pardons her and nominates her for VP and then he or she resigns. There is something about holding the same office but that's if an impeachment was used.

Here is the most horrific senario.

    Hillary/Bernie, or Hillary/Warren as president.

Hillary pardons herself, gets impeached and removed from office, and Bernie or Warren become President.

The president has the power to pardon (let free) any person who has committed a federal crime, except in cases of impeachment.

Please show me where she could not pardon herself again?

one of the sections dealt with impeachment after the office holder had held office but included a limit on the punishment of no return to that office. Something most Presidents are barred from anyway.

She can't pardon herself. That's disallowed specifically and pardons are not legal for any impeachment proceedings. Gotta read the Citizens Handbook! The Constitution. Lot of history there. Course that may not work for an IRS arrest or BLM arrest or....

However here is the exact wording of the pardoning ability of the President.

    "Section 2 - The Text

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein other- wise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments. The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session."

Section 2 - The Meaning and Discussion

The president serves not only as the head of the executive branch of government, but also as the commander in chief of the armed forces (including state national guards when they are called on to serve with the federal armed forces).

As chief executive, the president runs the different executive agencies, such as the Department of the Treasury or the Department of Health and Human Services.

The president has the power to pardon (let free) any person who has committed a federal crime, except in cases of impeachment.

With permission from two-thirds of the senators present, the president can make treaties (agreements) with other countries. With the approval of a majority of senators, the president makes a number of key appointments. These include U.S. ambassadors and foreign consuls, Supreme Court justices and federal judges, U.S. attorneys, U.S. marshals, Cabinet officers, independent agency heads, and members of regulatory commissions. To ensure that the president can fill vacancies when the Senate is not in session, the president can make any of these appointments without Senate approval, but these “recess appointments” end at the end of the next Senate session.

Congress may choose to require Senate approval of other presidential appointments or let the president, courts or department heads appoint staff and agency employees without approval by the Senate.

Hillary has so many powerful friends and $$ that she wont be found guilty of anything prior to the time she is president. THEN, she will make sure that whatever is there NEVER comes out.

the powers that be (the self-proclaimed elite/rulers) have had years to work this out...we (those who serve the oligarchy) will be told what they want us to know and think...the govt-educated good citizen will forget and move on...the rest of us independent thinkers must learn how to live free in an unfree world...

Constitution only indicates in the case of "impeachment" is the president helpless.

Indictment, conviction, makes no difference President can pardon themselves.

So far, nothing has stopped President Obama from "writing his own rules".
My guess is that her pardon has already been written and will come out minutes before her corronation...or just after her indictment.

Maybe I'm being a bit naïve (or hopeful) but I think the announcement will be made long before November.

If Obummer's DOJ sits on its collective hands much past late July and Cleveland and doesn't announce something, I think their hand will be forced.

I think someone within the FBI (or a small group within the FBI) who has access to the files will come forward, regardless of consequences.

The information shared in that press conference will be so conclusive that Lynch will have to recommend an indictment.

With homage to Dennis Miller: Of course, that's just my opinion, and I could be wrong.

"he shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment." This doesn't mean that a pardon can take place only after conviction. So yes, A president can pardon himself.
