A Brief Moment of Pride

I'm now in eleventh grade, and last year was my last chance to enter the Anthem essay contest. I did so several months ago and forgot until a few days ago, when the email came in.

Third place! (Granted there are 10 3rd place winners, but still cool.) Earned a pretty penny for my essay, and a free book. I chose The Fountainhead, to replace my torn up copy; the rest I already have.

Now it's time to tackle The Fountainhead essay. ;)

Unfortunately only the first place essay is. I would have posted it here, but I'm not sure whether, having submitted it to the Ayn Rand Institute, it became their property. I'm also away from my computer for a while (traveling in Italy).
