What do i think of it - well 3 months ago i ran in a 10km race in a Moslem country. There were 1600 women (3700 runners total) and a fair number in full body cover - and it was blimin hot - I was impressed they were out running, and in that get-up well good on them.
Later several of us were swimming in the sea. Same deal. I would have thought they were more bemused by my copious display of skin, run-wear and bathing costume. But i was welcomed graciously in both events.

Wear what you want including nothing but be prepared to be ridiculed, one of the best ways toward looking at your own beliefs or for having to increase your faith. Political correctness has just about ruined the value of ridicule to help self change.

A Youtube channel would probably do the trick. I'll bet it already exists! It'd be like that "People of Wal-Mart" web site!

If some people want to dress as prudes I don't see why anyone should object. Of course, I may laugh at them.

I could care less what people wear, unless it hides terrorist bombs designed to hurt me or others. I am in favor of profiling when it comes to terrorists however. The muslims asked for it by NOT policing their own. Now our best defense is to be very wary of any muslims. What can I say.

Why do people go to the beach in the first place?Isn't the primary reason to lay out in the sun?Perhaps a bit of swimming, although pools are better. Wearing body covering negates the entire purpose of the beach. Just stay home. Of all the stupidities to concern one's self about, going to the beach all covered up is near the top of the list.

There should be an age and weight limit on allowed wearing of a thong.

The only reason the French banned it was its connotation.

It's a wetsuit with a hood, that's all. And form-fitting, too. It strikes me as stretching a point, frankly. But calling it street clothes? That's another stretch.

They're ugly as a bathing suit. Acceptable as a diving suit, maybe. They belong in the muslim world but not in western world, like the burqas. Financially, I think it repels non-muslim tourism, considering attack on non-muslims.

Vetting isn't hard. Do you intend to honor your oath of citizenship and the laws of our country? If Yes continue procedure if no Exit door leads back to departing aircraft.

That's what killed at least one candidate when he put God's Laws above Constitutional Law. We use God's Laws or many do as a way of developing some sort of moral aspect and that does guide us in decision making in other areas. But so does objectivism and so does just being honest with yourself and not being afraid of the dark. Had the candidates stuck with 'natural' law they would have been fine instead of coming across as 700 Club recruiters. to be honest Christians Catholics included and all religions except one which bans the practice of recruiting are their own worst recruiting image. Islamics and a prime example.

The rule on vetting or granting full citizenship is simplilcity itself. Is Allah's Law or Constiutional Law Superior. Yes or No. if they lied then the application and there fore the basis for the granting of citizenship is invalid. One way ticket to the airport.

Besides State Department...we need the room for the surviving victims of their barbaric practices. I'm doubting these Imams validity and considering they are more an Islamic version of George Soros And George Lykoff and that is not a welcoming thought.

This is the difference between American freedom and European.

Ours, while clearly eroding, is still written in blood and stone. Theirs exists by fiat - subject to the whim of the masses.

They're not hurting anyone by covering up. What right do we have to oppose them doing so.

If it helps mark them as "extreme" all the better to keep an eye on them.

But really, American Muslims are not the problem. That's why we've had so few home grown attacks. The fact that they already live here means they don't consider the US to be the great Satan.

Of course they're irrational. They espouse a religion. But that doesn't make them the enemy.

There are some female bodies that look great nearly naked on the beach and elsewhere.
As for me: The "burkini" would hide on me what nobody wants to see! 😬

I think this is nothing more than a natural backlash to the wave of islamic violence in France stemming from the mass influx of refugees from islamic countries. People would PREFER that those hard-line (devout) enough to wear such an outfit not be in their vicinity - can you blame them?

Frankly, as a Constitutional American, while I don't vocally oppose it, it sickens me and keeps me on guard, to see a black ghost walking their son or daughter to school in my neighborhood.

Veriy sexy and compelling are you sure that's a Imam design or their way of graphicaly describing a bikini - since most don't read.

The covering aspect is irrelevant -- it's a wetsuit.
The unwillingness to assimilate culturally, is what makes it repulsive.

I think the French government should mind their own God damned business rather than try to dictate what people can wear at the beach. Geesh; and these are the same people the left idolizes as being so "enlightened"!

Me, Too! . I just find it obnoxious the way this is
happening. . people should let one another alone,
let them live their lives as they wish -- they're not
harming anyone with these outfits! -- j

If enough out-of-shape Americans like me go there, will they change their claim that a "full-body costume to go to the beach is not in keeping with our ideal of social relations."?
