EPA spills again in Colorado

The Environmental Protection is admitting to a spill from a treatment plant it set up after it dumped 3 million gallons of toxic wastewater into a Colorado river last year.

If a company had done this, it would be all over the news, Obama would be screaming, and demanding billions in fines.

Local government officials of individual states, counties and municipalities would have far more at stake than to screw up like the all-powerful grandiose federal EPA gets away with doing.
Me dino says pass that environmental watchdog buck back in reverse to where it belongs.
Should I be president, I would roar to render the EPA extinct.
All of its laid off personnel (their number next to nothing compared to laid off coal miners) would then be freed up to find or create jobs that would much more benefit the economy than the destructive libtard Progressive agendas.

I think you are giving them too much credit. This was either purposeful or happen with blatant disregard to the risks.

    Hello dbhalling,
Nothing will change until individuals working for government agencies are no longer de facto immune from suit. When a government agency is at fault and sued any payout comes from the taxpayers... the taxpayer is essentially suing itself! How's that for justice?!?!
    Regards,

The principal objectives of the political class are the acquisition and maintenance of power, immunity from prosecution and criticism, and to be treated with respect whether they deserve i tor not.

who works for the epa "people" and people are falable. unfortunately the people who WE employ i.e. the civil servants at the epa do not believe you and I sometimes make a mistake only that they are holier than thou. so we would get a fine and they get a raise versus in my opinion being thrown in jail for their attitude.

My grandparents watch very mainstream news and when I visit them, I'm always amazed at what topics aren't reported on at all or what topics get no more than 30 seconds of coverage.
