I usually write on a notepad and then transfer and then do an edit. Time is often a factor. But sometimes the obvious glaring error hits after complete posting. That's what Edit is for and if one has posted something to begin with it is always present.

Even so let's say it's a comment and the Edit has disappeared. One can always copy the body of the comment, use the delete function it returns you to the main post, find the same spot it will have a notification of a delete message. Do an new comment, paste the safe message and make corrections. So that's a useful safety valve for when one has really stepped on it big time which I certainly have.

However there is another function available that should be apparent to anyone - should be. This is not for OUC or Herb or any of the others with a few exceptions.

The human race developed a marvelous system some millennia ago . Open Closed. Off On. Light Dark. A more modern system is the little buttons or switches provided by modern technology. Should you hate the movie and are in a theater 'leave.' A comment to the theater manager might help. I've done that once. Same applies to a crummy concert. For radio and TV it's called two things. I was hoping 'I sank' would continue the conversation about the wonders of the Pacific Ocean. Most of mine has been as we call it the Specific Ocean for south of the line. With a fair amount in the northern half. There is a lot of difference between photos with a thin comment space and been there done that eyeball and hands on contact. How many have been to Suvarov or Suwarow Atoll in the North Cooks or smelled the stench of the Tuna plants in American Samoa? It is certainly more in line with the AS readers who did understand the story line and where it led. So I have to agree completely. Even now I do that amongst the expat community. Would I rather live north of the border? Not so sure anymore. Were it not for the 2.5 times increase in value of my income as opposed to the 1/3rd or more (so far) cut in spending power since 2001 and especially 2008 I wouldn't have considered it at all. It certainly is far safer as an added plus. Good affordable medical care. Plenty of amenities. Year round just about sailing, fishing, diving, hiking etc. Many cultural and cultured events. NO US TV unless you sign up and pay extra for it. So it's close enough and enables contact on a 'net' and 'personal' basis. After all any good counter-revolution or revolution for that matter needs a safe operations and support base.
