Presume, at your own peril, that all men are untrustworthy. To do so is to never grant another trust until it is earned. For trust to be deemed earned, it must first be given. Herein is the paradox of many religions. Presume that all men are sinners, and you will never have opportunity to forgive, for you will never have trusted enough to consider restoring a broken trust through forgiveness.
