I don't really think Levi Frunk was wrong to take the
device to school. But then, he had the wrong skin
    color.

It's pretty obvious that Levi's "charger" was a prank. It accomplished what I think he set out to do, which was to illustrate the differences between how people are treated for similar actions. Reminds me of the time two pranksters bought a park bench identical to those in Central Park in New York. They brought the bench to the park, sat on it and waited until a policeman came by and picked it up and took it with them. The cop chased and arrested them for attempting to steal a park bench but when they showed the bill of sale to the judge after protesting that the bench was theirs, the judge had no choice but to dismiss the charges. Levi didn't get off so easily.

Society in general would be so much better off it folks cranked down the gain on their antennae and
    grew a thicker dermal layer.

Never assume malice by that which could just as easily be explained by stupidity.

This racial identity group stuff is so bad. It makes people look at the childish stuff and miss what's really happening.

It just shows what kind of world Obama is trying to build. What's more important than what happened response wise is what's happening on the intent side. The Muslims (at lease these Muslims) appear to be intent on creating situations to exercise their 'rights' by doing things that create opportunities to sue someone and get something for nothing, and to bring to attention of the public that we need more 'rules'. It's just another little ploy to bring down America.

Today everyone seems to be afraid of anything that has wires on it. Have we gone crazy? The Muslim so called bomb didn't even look like it could contain any explosive unless it might have been spread on the device somewhere with a butter knife. And why did the white kid build a device to charge a phone, you can buy one for a few bucks? Who knows?

It's all just part of Obama's intent to bring down and destroy the original concept of this country. He just wants to turn us into some kind of obeying civilization under control of people like him. Of course no one will admit any of that, they are too afraid of being called a racist. A lot of people didn't call out the gestapo either when they were becoming powerful in Germany.

Today, most of the time our president opens his mouth only perpetuates these atrocities that are become our routine way of life in this country. We've got to teach Americans that voting smart is more important than voting out of pure emotion and ignorance. Unfortunately there is no test, but that too would take away our freedom to be stupid.

Once again I am reminded of an editorial in The Birmingham News that I read during the 90s.
One line of it stated: "Zero tolerance = zero common sense."

Things done for PC reasons are almost NEVER right. It was stupidity and lack of backbone on the part of the school. But what do we really expect to get from a school today.

You may be correct. Another reason I don't like zero tolerance policies or should I say, failure to use common sense and better judgement policies.

I think they have a zero tolerance policy and while it turns out not to be a dangerous situation, it still disrupted the school normal running. So they probably had to impose the suspension because their hands were tied.

If you are member of a minority under Obama's reign, you get special treatment. THAT is racism if there ever was. Obama IS racist.

It was politically correct, and the school was afraid of some sort of liability for not having taken the "proper" action.

Its definitely a PC double standard and/or racism. Had this boy been Muslim, black or Hispanic you can bank things would have been handled much differently, kid gloves even.
