There have been such claims misrepresenting Ayn Rand on this topic in the past on this forum, and it isn't something you would necessarily know about. The worst offense in your post was misrepresenting Shillary Cackles as female, but even Slick Willy made that mistake when he first signed up for their political partnership. That is why I said "none of this applies to Hillary".

I'm with the "I doubt she ever read it" group. And I may not be remembering right, but didn't Obama call AS a "good book for naive teenagers, something you grow out of" or something to that effect?

I guess 45 years after reading it, I haven't grown up yet, and never will if that's the standard.

Thanks to you and others for pointing out this is bogus. I should have put it up as something she was " purported" to have said. Appreciate your making this clear.

The fantasy has been playing out in real time ever since Obama took office. We've had businesses consolidated or driven out of of the market place by regulations and taxation, not to mention Democrat and union collusion. If Hillary actually read the book, of which I am skeptical, she must fancy herself os Dagny Taggart whereas she is more like the Leslie Mouch or Dr. Ferris in being toadies to the government edifiace collapsing in on itself while denying that it's happening but are the cause. Having been watching 'Versailles' over the last few weeks, it seems Obama has styled himself after Louis XIV, "L'etat, c'est moi!" He therefore can impose 10-231 on all of us.

You are right about Ryan having disavowed being a fan of Atlas Shrugged. That was when I began to be suspicious of him being an establishment wimp.

Actually, I was thinking the same thing. I don't think that she even read the Cliff Notes. "Boyish fantasy" good grief with a heroine like Dagny! I would love to see her debate Dagny.

Paul Ryan is not very intellectually consistent, or he wouldnt be speaker of the house and be so politically correct. I dont like or trust Paul Ryan

From a definitely deplorable person, I loved AS and I dont care what she says about it.

I agree about Hank Rearden having substantial similarities to Trump. Not all, but a number of them.

her campaign probably told her to say it. Unfortunately for her, people who HAVE read AS would say that Hillary was totally wrong, and people who HAVENT read it would not know what she was talking about.

Hillary is an evil witch, period. I dont even want to hear what she says, as its all just manipulation and propaganda to get HER power and money at my expense. Too bad a lot of people cant seem to see through her to the REAL HILLARY.

Ryan said flattering things about Rand and AS years ago but disavowed them when he got the VP nomination in 2012. This "article" is garbage.

the site for this article is
    www.ncscooper.com
which is a satire site. I would expect the entire
article is made up. The site is full of other "click bait" type articles - and may hold some entertainment.
It tends to have a local flair to it for me, since I am in Nevada County (California), although I have not ran across this site before.
