You can pick your own doctor now, you just aren't willing to pay for that which you say you value - you want me [and every producer in the country] to pay for your choices. nope!
Unions are a cancer. There are so many laws in place that protect employees that render unions obsolete, I don't know why they still exist. How dare some union demand hush money from employees, and bully employers!

Choose less expensive doctors rather than entitling yourself to others' money to pay for your personal preferences. Or earn more. You seem very comfortable with living on others' wallets.

O.A., that was the most refreshing bit I've read in a long time. It's value is in the fact that it comes from a regular person with exceptional writing skills and the content is identical to my line of thinking. Wow, you made my day.
"DJ Creditors Say Hostess May Have 'Manipulated' Executive Pay
By Rachel Feintzeig Of DOW JONES DAILY BANKRUPTCY REVIEW
Unsecured creditors suspect that Hostess Brands Inc. may have "manipulated" its executives' pay--sending its former chief executive's salary, in particular, skyrocketing- in the months leading up to its Chapter 11 filing, in an effort to dodge the Bankruptcy Code's compensation requirements, according to a redacted court filing reviewed by Dow Jones."
The unions called in their marker, and it was a 'done deal' that this regime would save it's base from the fruits of their greed. Books will be written about this scandal....
The interference by our govt with respect to the automotive industry bailouts is inexcusable. They should have been left alone to fail or succeed on their own. I wanted no part of it. It's not my business to have a say in how a business is run unless I'm a shareholder in a public company.
There are a lot of different circumstances in there. It depends on what you go to the doctor for. I can't really imagine that if you need to see a doctor the experience can be very positive though.
Hostess immediately comes to mind where the union didn't budge in the face of a crisis. Thus the business folded and everybody lost. Unions are the greediest bunch of looting moochers as have ever walked the face of the earth. I would like nothing better than to see them ground to dust.
I'll bet my nest egg that I have seen more military doctors than you have ever even imagined.
Nonetheless: military doctors choose that profession of their own free will. They have mostly chosen a career path, and are the best.
They have made me whole again...more than once.
ObamaCare is forcing the private medical sector into the public role, and there is no fighting back short of reducing your practice to something out of "Doc Hollywood", and accepting bushels of corn for your services.
60% of surveyed doctors would retire early, rather than go to work for the government.
Over 84% of the doctors agree that the medical profession is in decline.
Over one third of physicians would not choose medicine if they had their careers to do over.
So, what would it take for you to have a positive experience with any given doctor? Don't you think that when folks have a positive experience that the doctor is doing better?
BTW, I don't want a doctor who is in it for the money. I want one who cares.
Yes, a very big yes on no government involvement on negotiations.
Bit NO on "If a business doesn't want to partner with a union it shouldn't have to, can we agree to that?"
I repeat, why should management have a bunch of investors on one side ganged up against an individual? If individual workers can gain strength with a common interest that should be allowable, just as corporations gain strength from combining their resources.
Again, why do you advocate inequality in America? Why is a worker any less important than management?
Previous comments... You are currently on page 15.
However, I still feel strongly that the best doctors, like in the military, aren't in it for the money. Money has corrupted medical care in America.

And getting something fixed or cured is always very positive.

Is Dow Jones a suitable source for you?

Makes you wonder what could have been if GM had chosen the same bankruptcy court route...?
Hostess is back, and without the union albatross around their neck.
