It is interesting that this whole concept of "Fake News" has come up since Hillary got her ass whooped! Never was an issue before. I think this is all an attempt to explain why she lost the election....because after all we know that the rascally republicans totally control the media don't we!!!

Yup. I know it is hard to accept, but they are not the pillars of wisdom and light they would like you to believe.

I would think you would need to find where the Fed hides the report, I am sure it would be in there they mentioned it is like, 36 pages or so. The way they word everything is the key, you can take 20 data sets, and depending on how you link them and sort, you can have 100 conclusions, each one is "fact".The issue is the Fed has created over the years, a lot of these "reports" and they use their own definitions, which are never clearly stated n public media, so you get this ability to pull something from it, and call it "truth". Totally out of context, and therefor, meaningless.

There is another fact I didn't see mentioned in the article. Anyone on unemployment for over 6 months is dropped from the "active" pool. There a a fair number of people on unemployment for over 6 months that are still actively looking but are not being counted as unemployed. The group should not be excluded.
Since there are no published numbers on this group, it is difficult to tell the true impact they would have on the "Government" number.

I just read the article and you are right you could pull many different conclusions.
Regarding upward mobility I have sensed for a decade or so a lack of. I recently received Imprimus from Hillsdale College and that was the topic. Their evidence clearly showed we the US were about tied with Great Britain for the worst upward mobility in the world. I guess the govt. with these bull ship statistics are saying "don't believe your lying eyes " Thanks for adding this
